Central Park Five (The)
119 min.
This documentary re-examines the wrongful convictions of the Central Park Five, a group of five black and Latino teenagers accused of raping a jogger in New York City's Central Park. The youths spent between 6 and 13 years in jail before another person confessed to the crime in 2001. It was one of the most publicized crimes of the 1980s. Post-exoneration, the state withdrew all charges and the city of New York settled with the men for $41 million.
