Falcon and the Snowman (The)
movie length: 131 minutes
Review:
"Based on a true story about a couple of childhood friends from California who became spies for the Soviet Union. One studied for the seminary before taking a job with the CIA in a message routing-center. He is a loyal American until reading the classified information he finds there. It causes him great disillusionment with his government and he decides to become a spy for the Russians, employing his childhood friend, a drug dealer, to help him make secret deliveries to the Soviet Embassy in Mexico. His friend's unreliability, however, results in big trouble for them both. Also, based on the true incident of USA (likely Kissinger via CIA) getting the British to remove the Prime Minister of Australian because he was not going to renew the USA's lease on the secret satellite tracking spy station in Australian. "CIA wanted PM Whitlam removed from office because he threatened to close US military bases in Australia, including Pine Gap - wiki"
