Good Will Hunting
Good Will Hunting almost sets the standard for a message movie that is also entertaining. The Academy Awards this film received were well deserved. Too bad it launched Matt Damon and Ben Affleck's acting careers in such a big way that they stopped the hard but important work of crafting stories and movie scripts.
This movie managed to work in reform messages about American History (probably the first big Hollywood movie to acknowledge Zinn's History), class issues in America and academic stereo-types concerning intelligence and --- it was still entertaining.
