I Am Not Your Negro
Billed as an adaptation of an unfinished essay by the 20th century novelist, playwright, and activist James Baldwin. The documentary covers the assassinations of three civil rights leaders in the 1960s - Medgar Evers, Malcolm X, and Martin Luther King Jr., who were also Baldwin's close friends. It also examines black representation in media, using Baldwin's reflections on cinema.
