Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story
75 min.
After learning that 40% of globally-produced food goes to waste, a documentarian couple decided to live off of discarded food for 6 months. They were surprised at how plentiful and high-quality it was, as most food waste is needlessly created for aesthetic and economic reasons. Public misconceptions about "best before" dates are another contributing factor to this problem. This film also shares stories from other anti-waste activists, from "dumpster divers" to food recovery organizations.
