Plastic China
82 min.
For years, the United States and other countries have sent their plastic waste to China - about 7 million tons a year. Although a huge industry, there is a real health toll on the people living among all the refuse, which can be toxic. Another problem is the sheer amount of plastic coming in, which is more than can be processed. This is something that the rest of the world should be more accountable for - we don't recycle enough and aren't as conscious about our plastic consumption as we could be.
