Silvered Water, Syria Self-Portrait
92 min.
(WARNING: There are numerous graphic scenes showing real death, dismemberment, etc. in this film.)
Created from an unlikely connection between a forced exile in Paris and an elementary school teacher in Homs, this documentary is largely comprised of personally shot footage from the Syrian Civil War. Although difficult to watch, this film reveals the true horrors of the war, something that has been mostly overlooked and censored from the rest of the world.
