This is What Democracy Looks Like
An unbelievable look at what happens when all these powerful groups fighting for rights of different kinds come together to show that corporate rule is unacceptable.
The WTO (World Trade Organization), and The IMF (International Monetary Fund) planned to gather in Seattle in the later half of 1999 to make decisions about what the next millenium would look like in the battle for complete corporate world domination. What they hadn't planned for was so many human, and environmental rights groups showing up to exclaim that we are paying attention. Be warned, some tear-jerking/gut-wrenching scenes between police and protesters. Can be hard to watch but I believe it's very important to see. The film, overall, has a wonderfull feeling of possibilities realized. A rare look at civil disobedience and it's power over the pompous.
