Work (The)
89 min.
A film about an experimental therapy program at Folsom State Prison, a maximum security prison in California. For each session, outside volunteers and inmates get into groups and work through their fears, pains, and other repressed emotions, sometimes verbally and other times physically. Because vulnerability is commonly associated with weakness for most men, these sessions turn out to be deeply cathartic and beneficial to participant self-acceptance.
